ZAMA NECKLACE (zamak)

The term zama metal alloy refers to a family of zinc alloys, whose main elements are aluminum, magnesium, antimony, and copper. The second alloying element is aluminum, which is found in percentages ranging from 0.8 to 27% and whose main effect is as a hardening agent, while copper increases castability.

Iron is present as an impurity.

L'excellent castability and hardness comparable to that of many cast irons and brasses make Zama suitable for bijoux.
