ZAMAK NECKLACE (zamak)

The term zamak metal alloy refers to a family of zinc alloys whose main elements are aluminum, magnesium, antimony, and copper. The second alloying element is aluminum, which is present in percentages ranging from 0.8 to 27% and whose main effect is as a hardening agent, while copper increases castability.

Iron is present as an impurity.

Excellent castability and hardness comparable to that of many cast irons and brasses make Zamak suitable for jewelry.
